Hi! I’m Inna, a self-taught home cook living in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, with my wonderful family of four and the best dog in the world—a black Labrador who’s always first to taste-test the crumbs! Most of what I cook is for my kids, my partner, and our busy, active lifestyle. Our days are filled with work, play, school, and adventure—from hiking the Wicklow trails to weekend fishing trips—and food is always at the heart of it all.

From Humble Beginnings to Homemade Joy
I grew up on the outskirts of a small European country during tough times, when most people had very little. My parents worked long hours, and elaborate meals simply weren’t an option. I was never taught how to cook, but curiosity—and hunger—pushed me into the kitchen. From a young age, I started experimenting with simple ingredients, teaching myself how to make meals that were filling, comforting, and full of flavour. That early resourcefulness still guides me today.
Cooking That Makes Sense
Now, I cook mostly healthy, home-style meals for my picky eaters, often sneaking veggies into dishes they actually enjoy. Improvisation is a big part of my kitchen life—especially when dinner needs to be quick, nutritious, and loved by everyone at the table. I like easy food—the food that I can understand, that I can get into myself and re-think. My recipes focus on budget-friendly ingredients, transforming humble staples into something that feels special, even a little indulgent. Think one-pot wonders, slow-cooked comfort food, and hearty dinners with minimal fuss and maximum flavour.

More Than Just Recipes
This blog is my way of sharing what works for my family—easy, affordable, and relatable food that you can cook without a culinary degree or a pantry full of exotic ingredients. Alongside developing the recipes, I love to plan activities for my family - either a short stay trips, theater visits or just arranging movie night and sleepovers for my kids and their friends.

Whether you're a beginner in the kitchen or just looking for some real-life inspiration, I hope you’ll find something here that feeds your body and warms your heart.
